I feel that many people have forgotten the importance of prayer in times of need, sickness, despair, or pain. I’m not saying that is the only time we should pray, but noticing how people act in times of crises, especially in our Arab society, I feel there is a need to remind people of important services and prayers the church has put for us for such times. For example, I do not hear of people holding the Paraklesis service for the sick. Is this still common practice in other areas of the world?
