Lent 2013 Day 3: An old cherished tape

One of the really special tapes I have is one that has been with me for nearly all my life. It is a recording of a byzantine¬†celebratory from the times of Patriarch Maximos V Hakim. The mass is chanted in a combination of Arabic and Greek. I estimate it was recorded in 1970’s probably for a big feast or ordination. I have listened to this tape so many times that I know it by heart now. It traveled with me for the 4 years I spent in USA during my undergraduate studies. I started to digitize the recording, but I don’t seem to have the time to complete the work. Here is a sample from the tape:
